That makes sense IF you want to save sales tax (8.25% in California), annual personal property tax (1.25% in California), sellers agrees to a REPAIR ALLOWANCE and are committed to spend money on deferred maintenance and update the boat your requirements. Just did that recently after purchasing a 1984 Symbol 44 Sundeck it had everything we wanted in terms of layout, comfort, engines, electronics, extras, etc.
