Aloha Aries 32' owners:
We are Mauricio and Paola and we have an Aries 32'.
SAU000290881 Kealoha.
Now we are working on her installing an electric motor for propulsion and production of electricity. We were wondering if there are other sailors out there that are using that kind of system for their sailboats. We will be more than happy to share experiences in such a new system. FYI, our motor is a Thoosa 7000 ht.

Re: Thomas Gilmer Aries 32
Welcome Mauricio and Paola-
Please point us all to some photos of your project when you have the chance. Mahalo.
All- The Chester P update- A surveyor is supposed to arrive today and do their thing so we can have a valuation certificate and finally get a floating insurance policy.
As luck would have it, I'm being sent out of town for work for the rest of the week, so the plan would be to splash her sometime next week.
Since starting this project last September, every step has been enlightening.
The Revised 7/12/2011 Sausalito Boat Works Aries directory is below.

When you post go to the advanced underneath the space you are typing. Choose manage your attachments and then browse through your photos to post them.
Sometimes your photos are too large so you might have to edit them to get them down to a size that the forum can accept. I believe 1600 pixals by 1600 pixals is the largest in jpeg that the browser will take.

Aloha Mau,
It could be that the moderators are keeping you from sending photos until you get more posts logged in.
Go to forums at the top of the page and the second forum down will get you to the technical help section.
Good luck.

Re: Thomas Gilmer Aries 32
The Chester P's first cruise was this weekend... a shake down to China Camp in San Rafael, CA and back to the Berkeley Yacht Club. Thanks to all on the group here for your support and comments during the project.

Note that the SV Horizon's Anton was in just about every shot! So glad you made it, Anton.

ALL:
FOUND! SV Charlie Chan; Hull #25. I'll get his full hull number this coming weekend. Gene is the owner and she's a 1981. BTW; He's flying a stock J80 Main Sail- It is a perfect fit on the stock OEM Wooden Spar (34' 11"). Gene has Charlie Chan slipped on "C" dock in Emery Cove in Emeryville, CA. The Chester P is on B dock. I was surprised when I saw the J80 sail on a boat that looked strangely like mine, and it was! It was sailed quite smartly into her slip by Gene this past Sunday- a fine show!

Hi all,
You could add my vessel SY Harmony to the list - Built 1984, Hull SAU00037H**4. This year and next I will be preparing for a new voyage in high latitudes.
Some photos when I was last sailing in San Francisco California 2010 - a set on Flickr
Cheers! Nick
