Mieiempo,
Yes it was Hals boat Sebago I worked on. Coppertop batteries was one of the sponsors hence the copper deck. Mike plant sailed before Hal and was often by helping out. I met Hal at the Newport shipyard and we were clearing out the boat before it went up to Hoods yard. Ive told this before but its funny. So we are throwing sails on the pier and I missed the count and had my hand in a loop. So when Hal let go I just jumped with the bag. Hal was like what the hell did you do that for. He had this big ass did I just see that grin. Later after we had the thing up at hoods. Im working on something and find a copy of 2 against the horn. I m like hey did you read this its a great story. Hal had that shitty short guy big life grin again Real blunt "I wrote it" Im stunned like ohhhh. We got along pretty well and I met him and Margaret several times after sometimes on different boats. Very enjoyable. That Black beauty no skid sucked it would peal skin like a Ben Riner. Mike Plant had a similar nonchalant confidence and warmth. I miss them both.

yep I thought I cleaned the picture trace. That shower trim was one hell of a fit. It is 2 pieces and was pressed around the bulkhead. A one shot deal. The port side was placed and the starboard trim was bent down sliding over the bulkhead and then snap you hope you cut the angles right. No way it was coming out without destruction and hours upon hours lost.

You did, called it "what" jpg. The advantage of cruising Sea of Cortez in the mid 80's in a old 60's Cal 40, you can socialize with fellow boat bums, plus be invited over for a beer on the new boats.

My last one for this series of 3 boats, then I'll tie it all together. Guess this one, and I'll wrap up why these 3 boats.
