The elusive 2" sanitation hose

I've discovered just how rare high quality 2" sanitation hose is; not only is it difficult to find, the shortest length that can be ordered is 12.5'. I need 4'.

The nice chap at Trident revealed the product number to me but added that he doubted any of their sellers would have it in stock and Trident would not sell it to me.

Soon I will be the very proud owner of 12.5' of Trident's finest and most expensive hose.

I wish you all fair winds and no hoses larger than 1.5".

Re: The elusive 2" sanitation hose

Why not adapt down to 1.5”?

Re: The elusive 2" sanitation hose

Thank you,
That was actually my first suggestion, but my boat guy recommended against it. At least I'll have some extra hose and an opportunity to come to the aid of some other poor sap with a French boat.

Fair winds,

Jeanneau USA sells the 2" sanitation hose by the meter. If you have a gravity drain, I would not go below 2".

The less prone a sanitation is to clogging, the better.

I would put in 6 inch hose if it would fit.

Budget Marine also sells 2". Not sure of the quality, but mine is just a short length from the holding talk to the pump out. Not much over a foot long.

From doing a little plumbing work, installing sewer systems etc.
You can go too big, too big and the solids settle out and stick to the bottom.
With sewer systems the grade has to be within limits too, too steep and the liquids run off, too fast leaves the solids behind, too shallow and they settle out.
If it’s pumped or pressurized by any means, assumption is a smaller hose may be better as the higher velocity flow can keep it clean.

Vetus makes the most awesome hose known to mankind. It's all metric but it was close enough and this stuff is so pliable using Tee clamps they go down tight. Used them on my exhaust hoses and sanitation hose.
