Thumbs up tasman crossing in winter

hi all s/v Periclees(44 roberts offshore) has just completed a 9 1/2 day mid winter crossing of the Tasman Sea from Wollongong to Nelson NZ with no dramas, no broken gear or crew and only one day of stormy weather (35/45knots gusting 50!) which we sailed thru as most of it was at night and we couldn't see how bad it was! as always the bad weather was about 100nm off NZ and we had to motor the last 60nm as the wind dropped of so fast we were left with oily calm, crazy place the sea! go safe and fair winds to all
