Littlewing77 thank you for the
advice. A 5k cat that I can bash up
learning might not be the worst
advice. The only sailing I've done is a dingie and windsurfing. All my other
experience is with a
motor or paddle.
I do have a whole lot to learn.
I've not even seen any of these
boats in person. Wife and I are chomping at the bit to get down to
Florida and see them. She likes the Tartan's best also.
I like some other
boats, but I keep coming back to the
engine placement on the Tartan. Love how you can reach it form all sides. I HATE working on engines when you can reach the
parts. Don't mind it a bit if I can reach them. That is why I do all the
work on my motorcycles myself but keep new cars with long warranties so I don't have to
work on them.
We are most likely going to buy a Tartan.
I really like the layout on that
Jeanneau though. That's the first time I've seen one of those. All the others on the market are out of our
price range and never read anything about them. Like how you can steer inside and outside depending on the
weather. But the
engine looks like it would be really hard to reach.
