SVG Rating?
What is it? I see references to John Kretschmer and this particular rating for cruising monohulls. Maybe someone who has read a Kretschmer book could explain the term?

I think it just stands for "Sailing Value Guide," as he wrote a lot of his boat reviews for Sailing Magazine.

The SVG is based on ratings in ten categories: price, design quality, construction quality, user-friendliness, safety, typical condition, refitting, support, availability, investment and resale.
