Steel hull "Dimensions / Size of Plate Used?

I'm looking at a 33' steel cruiser , wanting to cross oceans.
Builder states
new york, times, serif">"deck, hull are 4mm steel
new york, times, serif">keel sides are 5mm
shoe of keel is 12mm
all mild steel, not corten"

Steeel is not my area of expertise.

What do we think of these dimensions as the "bare bones" ?

Thick enough ?

I would judge this boat's suitability based on the reputation of the builder and designer. If either are unknown, I would keep looking.

Hello Rab. if these thicknesses are true, than you should get plenty of sailing time on her. if she is properly maintained .
good luck
