Based on their reply to my somewhat snarky response it's not an error or misunderstanding, that was actually their rate.

I've gone with Brian Stetler so don't have much motivation to follow up beyond professional curiosity on how you could get away with that kind of pricing. Brian isn't cheap but he is well within the realm of reason, and given my experience with him so far it's a more than fair compensation for the knowledge base he brings. In a world where you get where you get what you pay for I feel like he's on the upper end of getting an extremely good survey at a commiserate price. I was just curious about what kind of extra bennies you get from paying nearly 10X more, perhaps the report is printed on gold leaf and also delivered via singing telegram?
