Sold the house!

We have finally sold our home.... Oh boy!

At least its under offer subject to contract due to complete 9 Jan 2013

Over 2 years of planning and a very distant dream now seem to be cresting the horizon and heading for home port!

The home sale should buy 3 smaller properties for rental and our new floating home... Currently doing the leg work on a very pretty looking Jeanneau 45DS located in Croatia. She is a 2 cabin version which should suit us very nicely thankyou and being located in Croatia saves us the sail accross Biscay ( though secretly I was really looking forward to that... )

If anyone has any knowledge of 45DS issues to look out for now would be a really cool time to say :-) For preference something beyond "the keels fall off in anything over 30ft of water"... LOL

Thanks again for the great knowledge and wisdom shared here!

Mark & Sam.

PS... Congratulations to our American friends on the election. We are Obama fans! Any man who keeps a Labradoodle cant be all bad!

Re: Sold the house!

Wow, 2 cabin version sounds like a nice cruiser. Only issue I have seen to be careful of are the companionway stairs in some models, which have been designed to look good instead of being functional or secure. I have seen one broken off due light bolts and another friend fell and half seriously injured himself. Hopefully this is something they have rectified and you can relax back and enjoy the view!

Hi Thames
It's is such an exciting feeling knowing your dreams are coming close to reality isn't it! It is just over five years since we packed up everything back home and escaped to sea. Best five years of my life

I hate to disillusion you, but I think Obama has a Portuguese Water Dog, not a Labradoodle.
