Re: So, you want to go sailing

One boat sank today, one dismasted, one had a rudder ripped off and other damage by a wave hitting them from the side. They haven't been able to change cloths since last Saturday because everything is wet. Exciting as hell to see what these boat drivers are capable of. The crew of Initiatives Coeur have so far raised enough money for 6 children to have the heart operations that they need.

I urge you all to go to the Initiatives Coeur web site and click like and to share their page on your Facebook page. Each like and share adds 3 Euro to the heart fund.

Re: So, you want to go sailing

this current TJV has become absolute carnage. 1 of the tris capsized, another IMOCA 60 dismasted. another with a broken rudder. 4 of the 5 new generation semi foiling IMOCA 60's broken, one of them sinking and abandoned. it may be high time that VPLP/verdier as well as the builders face the hard reality that they got something with these radical new ocean racers very, very wrong.

I agree Initiatives-Coeur and her skippers are a fine team who deserve our hearts and support!

They think well and they sail well.

Fingers crossed for T&S!

Re: So, you want to go sailing

Initiatives Coeur is a few hrs. from finishing in 5th place. Tanguy and Samantha have raised enough money in this race to provide heart operations for 20 children. Although 5th place in the IMOCA class they are first place in my heart. Well done Samantha and Tanguy.

Re: So, you want to go sailing

They did very well! I would love to see them sailing again perhaps in Barcelona World Race this time. The two of them could actually find a newer faster boat for this as they prove their merit and skill so well in this TJV!

I am very happy for those 20 kids, and for Tanguy and Samantha HIP HIP HURRAY!!!!!
