If you have any advice on specific companies that will ship a sailboat from New England to anywhere in Europe, would love to hear it.

You have four basic options:
- Have the boat shipped on a ship. This means you get the boat (ususally by flatbed) to a major marine terminal. It is then loaded on the ship. Obviously this is an over simplification as there are regulations on how it has to be shipped.
- Hire a delivery captain
- Fly over and transatlantic it yourself
- Scrap the idea
Incidentally, you can not ship from the US to the US unless the company is a US company. This is due to the Jones Act which prohibits non US based companies from transporting within the United States.
I found
Complete Freight, Ltd to be helpful. But you already noted, this will be quite expensive. If cost is a concern, you are really looking at the last two ideas, possible the bottom three depending on the
delivery captain.
