selden rodkicker gas spring replacement

Well, what a great start to the day.

I needed to replace the selden rodkicker gas spring for the Boom Vang. I had a quote of €380 plus vat plus shipping. So decided to do a little googling around and found these guys: Gas Struts, Tailgate/Boot Struts, Jacks & Presses | SGS Engineering

Gave them a call, spoke to a great chap who asked the part number. He then replied with a 'yep, we have one that would match'. Total cost inc vat and shipping €102

Happy days....

Re: selden rodkicker gas spring replacement

Thanks for the info. I also need to replace the gas spring in my rodkicker. What type do you have? Mine is type 20 and need 1200N force spring, the boat is a Bavaria 38. Could you tell me the partnumber from SGS.
Looking forward to you inputs, PM also possible.
Thanks and greetings

I can't find the invoice from them! But I gave them the part number of the official part and they matched with one of their own.

Thanks for your reply.
Took the rod kicker apart and told SGS the number. All in progress. Thanks for the tip anyway. Best price I found.
