Sailing Solo Around Britain in a Leisure 27

https://sites.google.com/view/sailin...d-britain/home

Recently have just updated the story of the above trip. If you are thinking of sailing around Britain in a small yacht, you might find it helpful.

Keep thinking I would like to do it again, but this time in the more sensible clockwise direction. However next birthday is the big 80 so maybe I will have to settle for the memories! Hope you find them entertaining.....

Re: Sailing Solo Around Britain in a Leisure 27

Thank you!

Recently I bought a Canadian Sailcraft 27, with the specific goal of doing some longer cruises, notably the Down East Circle route, beginning and ending in Montreal.

I was getting doubts that, at 67, I have waited too long.

You are an inspiration, thank you again.

DarkStar30 your blog was an interesting read. The UK looks like a great coastline to cruise with lots of interesting harbours along the way.
I can't believe you didn't eat a deep fried Mars bar. Everything tastes better with batter, ice cream and fish are just two good examples.

Cheers
