I hate the King Harbor entrance when the
wind picks up to 20k, which is almost always due West onto a lee shore. The crap-your-pants part is that the approach maneuver to get inside the breakwater is almost a full U-turn. You have to approach downwind due to the pier to the south, then you literally
head up to about 45 degrees off the
wind to just get inside. Without momentum and some quick grinding at the turn, you won't point high enough, and that damn jetty will be waiting for you.
