Re using the shower:
Obviously works, but leaves seawater in the intake hose.
I don't think that eliminates a seacock?

That sounds like you'd have to do more pumping in order to prime the line all the way up to the loop every time you tried to fill the toilet. Not a stopper, but more of a nuisance?

No more pumping, the inlet hose is exactly the same length as if it were onto its own seacock.
(I have a syphon break on both inlet and outlet)

1986 Amel Maramu 46

10 seacocks

replaced all at the same time

Raritan Tru-Design Complete Thru-Hull and Seacock Assembly

$950 for the parts

I did the work myself during a long haul out so not sure what to put down for haul out cost. All were easy to get to and replace.
