S-2 28' / 30' Good sailing boats?

What can anyone tell me about the sailing qualities of a S-2 28' or 30' mid 1980's sailboat? They seem to have a high build quality, and certainly have all the creature amenities you could ask for. Question is... how do they perform under various conditions of sail?

There's a S2 8.6 that does club racing with us. It’s relatively small main seems to allow the boat to be kind of stiff, it tracks well up wind. It runs well with other boats in the same ratings, does better if the breeze is up. Keeping quality sails on her and the bottom clean will make her happy sailor.

Had a 9.2C a few months. Nice boat for coastal maybe Bahamas for a couple. Could do more as are built well but tankage is very small.
