Trying to get the King Crab fleet out of town.
Four degrees today and winds from the North West. Blowing 20 to 25 knots.
I've been working on this job for two weeks, 8 to 12 hours a day. All done outside in the harbor, at the end of the Homer Spit.
Weather has been mostly the same both weeks. Sometimes a degree warmer or colder, and the winds sometimes blowing at 35 knots with gusts up to 40.
I've been dressed in about four layers of clothes.
Propane heater going, space
heater going, hand warmers in my pockets and in my boots. Still freezing.
So damned cold it's hard to get the
camera focused.
This is a new hydraulic system I'm installing for a
deck crane.
When ever I get home at night it feels like 110 in the house but it's only about 72.
(This is why I haven't had the time to write on ORCA.)
