designer of the
Ranger 23, Gary Mull, said that
“the intention was to produce a little ship capable of sailing anywhere in the world safely and swiftly.” The first
boat was build in 1971 and the last of 739 total, in 1977 .

I see you are (somewhere) South of the Lake, so might expect to be cruising the
USA “North” shore & Apostles.
Were you to contemplate the Canadian shore, you should be aware that there are NO
fuel docks on the Cdn. Northern shore, hence I don’t recommend outboards up there.
