Providence RI area, surveyor reco's, other local help needed

I am an eight hour round trip away, and there is a known-good model 28-foot "project Classic Plastic" in the area at a rock-bottom price, the sellers needs it gone ASAP, currently stored on the hard on a private property.

He won't engage answering questions, just says "you can go and look at it anytime, at this price I'm not wasting time until I know you are serious, on the spot with cash in hand".

Maybe a red flag, or maybe just a nutcase?

Would anyone in the area be willing to do an initial cursory look-over for me? Willing to pay at least a bit, cover expenses?

PM me please.

Also can anyone recommend good surveyors in the area? here publicly is fine for that of course

And inexpensive storage facility, people that can come pick it up and transport it there on short notice?

Asking a lot in one post I know, thanks in advance!

If this is the Southern Cross I posted, the survey would cost about as much as the asking price.

It's too bad he doesn't have any pics of the interior.

Unfortunately, due to time constraints, you need to drive down there with cash in hand and see for yourself.

Have you thought/investigated how you would remove the boat from his property and what those costs will be...?

Retain the old maxim, "A free boat is never free" as you research this temptress!
