Pearson 39-2 CB, any knowledge?

Thanks in advance BTW, I’m looking for those with personal experience regarding a late 80’s Pearson 39-2 centerboard for coastal & Caribbean cruising. I’ve never sailed a CB and assume they point roughly somewhere between a shoal draft and a fin keel. In searching the net, I’ve only found one review so any and all knowledge would be appreciated.

I had a 1986 Pearson 36-2 centerboard. Loved the boat. 4’2 draft board up 8’ down. She pointed just fine for me and sailed wonderfully. I took the entire system apart and rebuilt it when I purchased boat. Could bring the board up easily with one hand..... I do miss it as I never had to worry creeping back into tight spots. Your boat has a slightly different cable run design but my friend who had a 1987 39-2 loved his as well. Fast nice sailing boat!
