Hi and congratulations. The
manuals for most
boats are of limited use. go through your
boat and look in every nook and cranny. Determine where the
thru hull valves are. Look closely at the
engine: where does the
cooling water come in? follow that hose from the
hull to the
engine. Is there a
water filter? Does the seacock
work or is it frozen? Do the same thing for the
fuel line,
batteries, fresh water system etc. Make a note of anything rusty or corroded. When you are done you will understand your boat a lot better. (and have a list of things to do!) I once found a nice
sextant in a wooden cae stuffed behind the curved setee back in my boat. This was like 6 months after I bought it!
