Pearson 31-2

Hi all,

New to the forum here. I am a long time sailor dinghies, however have
crewed on keel boats mostly in the great lakes. I am looking into buying a
Pearson 31-2 for day cruises maybe some short overnights. I am now
near NYC in Westchester and would be looking to sail on either the LI Sound or the Hudson River.

Any thoughts about the Pearson 31-2? She seems to have a good mix of easy sail-ability and decent performance. I'd love to hear thoughts about things you love, things to watch out for? The price ranges I've seen are somewhere between 25k-35k and this is within my budget.

Sound about right?

I'd also love to hear any recommendations for reasonable slips in the area.
