Pacific Seacraft 25 vs Pacific Seacraft Dana

I'm noticing a huge difference in price between these 2 boats. The dana is shorter and more expensive. does anyone know why?

The PS25 is a double-ender with an outboard rudder and does not have standing headroom (unless you happen to be 4 feet tall).
PS25 is designed after the East Coast Cod fishing boats of the 19th century.

Nonetheless, the PSC25 has done some great voyaging. Google "tiny bubbles" and you can find a couple 20somethings who took one all over creation. There is also a yahoo group dedicated to the 25.

I'd prefer an Orion to either of those two.

I agree on the Orion. Nice boat. For some reason (perhaps that it is not a crealock boat) it is sort of the black sheep of the PSC family. I figure that just makes it more affordable (significantly cheaper than a Dana). I particularly like the dinette version.

Was the Orion a Crelock disign?

The Pacific Seacraft Orion was designed by Henry Mohrschladt, I believe, not Bill Crealock.

The Dana is a cool boat, so is the Orion. I wouldn't buy a PSC 25, standing headroom is really nice.
