Oyster Ketch

Anyone has information or experience on older Oysters (30+ years) that are ketch rigged? I came across one at 46ft that is center cockpit but I couldn't find much on this specific model.

Re: Oyster Ketch

Thanks, I saw that one as well. But if you compare the photo and the layout you will see they are different. The photo is a staysail ketch but the layout is of a Cutter.

There seems to be fairly different layouts:

Re: Oyster Ketch

The Oyster website has a section on heritage yachts. Its a little hard to find, attached is the link. I assume the one you are looking at is the Oyster HP46.

Re: Oyster Ketch

I almost bought a ketch-rigged Oyster 55.

It was a lovely boat.

A lot of the Oyster 435's were built as ketches.

Holman & Pye were doing a lot of ketches in the '80's. The Bowman 46 is another gorgeous boat (my pontoon neighbor in the Hamble had one of those).
