Re: Out Shopping

What I need is a cross between a Pacific Seacraft and a Winnebago. Any ideas?

Re: Out Shopping

If you haven't showed her that Catalina 38 if it's still for sale you should. They are great boats and good sailors. A very nice under body with the only downside for me at least being the spade rudder. Plenty of room in the Catalina versions and nicely laid out.

Re: Out Shopping

You need to find a boat you both love, otherwise one of you will end up saying "see, I knew it was a mistake to buy this boat, we shoulda bought the X instead". That being said, do you need a PSC for where you intend to sail?

We almost bought a PSC 37 this spring, couldn't come to agreement on the amount of time for survey though! (We were about to go on a long trip)! Someone else snapped it up and we have regretted not getting it since. Nice boats!

Good luck!

Re: Out Shopping

Just made an offer on the 2006 Hunter 36. Nice boat for day sailing in the Puget Sound with occasional gunk holing. It's not a PSC but the wife was very uncomfortable with the amount of room and light. Hoping I do not regret the choice.

Re: Out Shopping

No it is not. I am a bit concerned about an owners report of a composite rudder. However I thought they shifted to stainless steel in 2006. Only the survey will tell.

[QUOTE=Panamax.;1613776 Problem is that just before we saw that, the broker showed us a 1991 Pacific Seacraft 38. T[/QUOTE]

Good luck on the Hunter survey. Curious as to what a PSC 38 is? Is it the Ericson 38 built by PSC?

Re: Out Shopping

I don't see a 2006 model 36 ft Hunter as being made. Is it a 38?
