1981 Saturna Raised Salon Sloop with Inside and Outside Helms Sail Boat
Saw this PH for sale and having never heard of the brand nor the the availability of another PH on such a small size, putting aside the Pacific Seacraft 32 -
1993 Pacific Seacraft Pilot House Sail Boat For Sale - www.yachtworld.com
was curious to know everyones opinions on the Saturna for short term cruising involving a little blue water?

No opinion, but note the draft difference. It may count depending on where you live.

pretty, ugly ... you find it ugly but I do not

it gives protection to the driver and the flare will give her drier ride in any chop

I have actually seen the Satura pictured in the post in person. It's well, ummm unorthodox in many ways. Not sure how it sails but it looks like it may be okay in that regard....still, it's strange in some details.

if you're wanting a pilot house, there's no question in my mind that this boat trumps the two at which you've been looking

The pilot house boat would be better if inclement or cold weather would be a significant factor. Also, it is or is approaching the definition of a motorsailer: note larger engine and shallower keel, but it is hard to compare since I didn't notice relative sail areas (I only looked at first page of each listing).

Edit -- Overlooked Saturna's interior helm. But the pilot-house boat would seem to have better visibility from its interior helm.
