Ocean Star 51.2: How comfortable is the skipper cabin?

We chartered a self-crewed Ocean Star 51.2 for a week this fall in Greece. We have 8 people booked already. We are thinking of adding a 9th passenger.

If you've stayed on this boat; can you shed any insight on the size comfort of the skipper's cabin in the bow? Is it comfortable enough for a paying passenger? Is the only way into it via the hatch or can it be reached via below decks?

Ocean Star 51.2: How comfortable is the skipper cabin?

Hi I had worked as a skipper to that particular boat you have charted (more than 2 season 12 years before )
The small bed isn't the problem unless you are more than 1,85 cm tall , the problem is the bad ventilation because there is only the in and out hatch ,
No to that boat this is the only entrance .
If you have Claustrophobia issues that space isn't for you !
Although that boat is sailing excellent, very smooth and comfortable performance and it was my favorite from the rest of the company's fleet

Re: Ocean Star 51.2: How comfortable is the skipper cabin?

I have skipperd this type of yacht and not had much of a problem with the bunk size, however some have a head fitted under the bunk but no hand washing facility. Leave the hatch open for ventilation.
A 51 footer is quite a big boat but I think a crew of 9 is about 2 too many.
