O Day 32 Center Cockpit

After looking about for a while, I had the opportunity to go aboard an O Day 32 Center Cockpit. I really liked the layout of it. Here is my question. What do those here think of this boat for open ocean crossings (I am thinking LA to Hawaii and possibly further)?
It's going to be myself and a cousin of mine, so the additional berth is a major selling point for me. I would appreciate any advice and any other suggestions of other models that would meet these requirements. I do want to keep it 33' or shorter.
