Norseman 447

Howdy!

Anybody have any thoughts on the Norseman 447? I'm seriously considering buying one and would like to know if anyone has any opinions - good or bad - about this boat. I intend to use it as live-aboard/long-range crusier.

And while we're at it what about Ta Shing boats in general?

Thanks in advance!

We are too... John Neal says they are a boat we should be looking at and the Ta Shing is the only Thai boat yard to buy from. We are also looking At Halberg Rassey 38... know anything about that?

Ummm...I think the TaYang yard (Tayana) has turned out some good boats too. PAE buildsthe extraordinary Masons and Queen Long builds the Hylas. I think John Neal knows a lot about a lot of stuff and I think you have taken his comments out of context as he has several of those brands listed on his list of offshore boats to consider and calls the Masons..."Some of the very best Taiwan built boats."

Here's his full list:

A friend did a circumnavigation in a Norseman. Really nice boat. Well designed. Lots of storage. Look at that design closely. Big boat though.
