Nicholson 39 Advice

Ok please expert advice needed here.
Been looking at getting a sailing yacht and like the Nicholson 39 for a live aboard and cruiser.
Now the issue is I saw one for sale and the ar normally a ketch but this one the aft mast have been removed.
Obviously this will cause a change in sailing performance ect.
Do you think it will still be a good buy and vessel that I can leave as a sloop or any advice would be appreciated.
Would be also nice if here are some Nicholson 39 owners and there experience sailing it without using the Mizzen.
Pretty sure will be a huge expense to ad a mizzen mast again.
