New to us Gozzard 44
I can't believe it has finally happened! My dream since I was 12 years old, after sailing with my dad Lester Bauman on a Venture 26, was to some day have a cruising sailboat. I have sailed racing cats and charted boats throughout the Caribbean but always dreamed about having my own! So after working hard, sometimes over 100 hours a week, saving when I could, and searching for the right boat these past 2 years, it has finally happened! Now not only do I have my dream boat, Gozzard 44, I have my dream girl, pirate, and mermaid AKA my wife, Lisa Bauman

I'd love to see some pictures! Where are you keeping her? (the boat, not the wife ;D)

Re: New to us Gozzard 44
The Gozzard 44 is a truly excellent boat...you can go anywhere in comfort and style. Quite Jelly at this end.
I would say you are a lucky man, but I believe we make our own luck, through hard work and action. So I'll suffice to say, you are a hard worker, and a man of action.
I hope you have some great adventures, and post about them here, for all of us to share.

Congratulations on your new/old boat. Gozzards stand out as beautiful traditional looking boats.

Re: New to us Gozzard 44
Congrats on your Gozzard! I had a G44 CC, one of only two ever built, built in 1998. Still enjoying her to this day! They are fantastic boats both as a liveaboard and extended cruiser. Hopefully you are both not camera shy as you will find that the boat will be photographed alot and gawked at when you are docked. Her classic style will outshine the plastic fantastic clorox bottles everywhere you will go. She will give you a lifetime of incredible pleasure!

Hey Wolverine6300:
Congrats on one of the prettiest out there.
FYI: Mike Gozzard has now become your greatest asset. Give him a call up in Goderich Ontario and introduce yourself to him and his wife Liz. They are awesome people, true sailors and no one, absolutely no one, knows these boats like they do. Mike's dad, who has since passed, designed drop dead gorgeous and practical sailboats. Good on you!
