New Sailor

I bought a Contessa 32 from Alpena Michigan and I sailed it back to NYC. well I got as far as Buffalo and 50 miles into the Erie Canal and I had to turn around because the water depth was not sufficient for my 5'6" draft. Total bummer but I can say I sailed a boat from Alpena to Buffalo

anyway I now keep the boat on the Hudson River in Haverstraw bay. I sail almost every free day I have and I'm looking to do some passages this spring and upcoming season. just wanted to say hello and see you on the water!

Welcome aboard! Interesting about the Erie Canal, I didn't know that. But I'm from the left coast.
