New boat

After a brief & hectic trip back home to NZ we have finally brought a boat.

29' (extended to 31') Whiting (NZ design) A very pretty boat that has been lavished with attention. Looking forward to getting out of here in late february so we can start our cruise round NZ coast. Mountains of headroom and can fit 9 round the saloon table so the name "Nightcap" should be appropriate.

Hi Pete, Glad to see you are back in the land of endless daylight safe and sound. You haven't missed much in the way of weather.
What a stunning boat. I must pop over and have a decent look around her. Can't wait to have a few "sunsets over the yard arm" with you and yours when you get back home.

Thanks Alan, sorry I didn't catch up with you, it was a pretty mad time. I finally flew south on Thursday after 3 days of delays. We took off and got within 1 1/2 hours of the ice then boomeranged due to weather, had to land in Dunedin to refuel (2nd time in 20 years a plane has had to do this). Flew successfully the next day, 19 hours in 2 days cramped up in a Herc!!.
The boat is on Waikawa 4E14 and we take possession on Jan 5th. Sue will probably sail her for a bit before I get back.
See ya next year.
