Need help selecting a Windlass
We have just sold our sailboat GraceII after 20 years of incredible experiences! We are now about to look at some C&C 35' Mark III. All the pics in the ads have not shown a location for, or a type of, windlass. Does anyone have or have knowledge of the best "fitting" type and the best location on the foredeck of these boats?
We have had a Low Profile Lewmar on GraceII since the beginning and have never had a problem with it for the 20 years of cruising we enjoyed.
We love the Low Profile aspect, but can not see how it would drop the chain into the locker.
Any suggestions would be appreciate.
