My new boat

I, through an unfortunate accident lost my mac 25 and have replaced it (on marinas dime) with a columbia 23. Is anyone out there familiar with the boat. I have sailed her a few times now and find her to be much more stable than the mac. I feel like i traded up. Be honest and let me know what you think. I am curious about the coastal cruising ability of the boat, we were planning to take the mac to cedar key from horseshoe beach next spring/summer. Does anyone have experience with the boat offshore. Do you ever see them in places like the bahamas, etc. any info is appreciated.

Extraordinarily biased, of course. I had an old Columbia 25 that was as good as anything on the market today and built very strong. They all have their quirks, however. Mast step compression for one.
