Mini Transat

Hi All,

Recently ran into a very active scene of "Minis", i.e. miniature Transat designs around 6.50 meters. Apparently starting in France there is an increasing number of boats sweeping through Europe.

Does anybody have / know of contacts, associations, boat-builders, clubs, etc. here in the US..? Thanks,

Type Mini Transat into a search engine

I've been interested and following the boats off and on for a while now. You can get some links from this site. I keep intending to call this guy when I am in the area but never seem to find the time.

Thanks Pura Vida, that is the type of info I was looking / hoping for and with all due respect @ Deep Frz: Google and Yahoo search-engines were naturally my first choice too, that is not what I asked for and they do not really deliver on the topic, at least not in respect to the US-scene. In addition to search engines I also browsed through some European mags and found a few websites:

Pogo, builder, sort of the mother of it all: www.pogostructures.com
Mini-Transat: http://www.minitransat650.com which actually offers a link to some US-enthusiasts.
A German website: www.classemini.de which is largely under construction
Another builder..? http://www.gotamtam.com pretty chaotic website, not even sure where these guys are located, are they actually building and selling a boat..? Magnen is a known racer and designer in the scene but this website is just too far out there...

...which seems to be the main problem, so my hope is to find regular guys, manufacturers, clubs, who are in to the Minis in the US.

Thanks again,
