Hi everyone looking for a free download site for service manuals of Mercury Outboards 2.5 hp / 5.0 hp Particulary the servicing of the gear case impellor and the recomended oil levels with instructional drawings Any assistance much appreciated

Tim - not a likely chance of that I'm afraid - There are several companies that produce manuals for various outboards - they tend to insure that they aren't undercut or excluded. Good luck!

You might try searching for Tohatsu as well. I heard that Mercs and Nissan's under 10 hp are made by Tohatsu.

You will need your outboard serial number but as I recall there is a lot of information in this area including an exploded view of the engine will all of the parts listed.

A quick tip for finding manuals of all kinds is to start looking using the google filetype search feature. Since many manuals are offered in PDF format they will be in the first few pages. It doesn't always work, but often it does.
