And we currently pay $2000 for eight months ($250/month or $8.33 per day) for our 53ft boat to stay in the water at a beautiful first class marina in San Giorgio Di Nogaro, 80km east of Venice, Italy.
I'm guessing, some of you need to shop around a little more.

Yes, a slip. All by itself, with a finger on each side and an attendant making sure everything is OK on a daily basis.
The boat next door in the shared slip moved out a week later until April.

Re: Marinas in the mediterranean
Three years ago, the cheapest quote I got on Mallorca was for $14,000 for seven months on the hard, 10 miles from Palma. Ridiculous. Italy is much nicer, better weather, cheaper and higher quality technicians when needed. 35-50 euros vs 100 euros per hour for labor.
The Adriatic is the place to be.

Sounds good - we are looking forward to moving a little further East. Should be there late May.

David,
Please drop us an email or PM in June, looking forward to meeting up with you. I'll be in San Giorgio Di Nogaro East of Venice for most of April and May. The slip rates do increase in May for the summer months, but nothing like Palma.
