m25 diesel engine price

Hey was wondering what yall thought of $2,900 for an m25 with about 200 hours since rebuild with control panel, wiring, and a 90 amp alternator with external regulator and 1/2 in serpentine belt.

Engine has been well cared for.

The important consideration is who performed the rebuild and why. You want the full documentation with a detailed parts list and the warrantee etc.. There are rebuilds and there are rebuilds......a full mechanical survey can't determine if it was done properly. You must rely on the reputation and professionalism of the rebuilder. There are competent backyard mechanics and there are charlatans. Be careful and good luck.
