And what weird measurement system are you taking the piss this time???

Re: Looking for my next boat.

Westerlies are unbelievably great boats and my personal favourites at the moment (anything from the 33's and up) I do love the Adams also with lots built with steel hulls though. I would prefer a fibreglass one personally.

Halvorsen Freya was another great steel boat (if that's an option) and was at one stage a very fast and capable ocean racer, but now (if you can find one) are very fast and capable cruisers. Only 43ft though.

Considered a Bowman?

Thank you, I will look those up.

I’m a little nervous of steel, particularly anything steel in my budget. I’ve got to know fibreglass pretty well and I feel confident in assessing the state of a fibreglass boat, but I wouldn’t know where to start with steel. So, like you, fibreglass if I can.

This is a pity because I really do love the Adams 45 but I’ve only ever seen them in steel.

I hadn’t, I didn’t know the brand. I see they made the Rustler 36 which has become highly sought-after following the last GGR reenactment race.

A quick Google revealed some lovely looking boats, thank you, I will find out more about them.

Well, that assertion is kinda undermined by the fact that I own a boat. [emoji6]
