Long Term Mooring Off ICW SC

heading down ICW in 2 weeks from Annapolis area. plan on leaving sailboat ( 33 feet) for approx 3 months in SC. Is it a good idea to leave on mooring ball or is it better to go into marina. Not overly concerned about battery etc. Will I save any money or just pay marina fees??
