I recently hauled out my 38 foot 1986
beneteau to do the
bottom paint. Given the fact i was on a
work trip i couldnt be present to supervise the job. The
hull and
keel were sanded down and stripped. Primer was applied and then painted with three coats of hempel
bottom paint. Four days later after going in the
water i went down with a mask and saw the
keel had a couple of 1-2 inch rust spots that seem to be coming from the inside. Is this the result of poor primer application or not waiting enough time for it to dry before putting the hempel bottom
paint. Thanks for the input.
