I build them completely new because they have bin as soft that i could easyly put a screwdriver through it. so i took out the old one with a chisel.
for the new one i build a mould out of
plywood with the original curves and than i bonded several layer of thin gabun boatbuilding
plywood by the use of vacuum technic and
epoxy into the mould. After shaping the oversized part i put 2,5mm
Teak above it all ( by vacuum)and mounted the winchboard. then i coated it with epifanes
oil paint and glued it with sikaflex 291 and a lot of stainless screws back into place.
I think taking the coaming out without breaking it is impossibel. And painting outside is not easy these days, i would recommend you to wait until its warmer.
Maybe the moulds still exists in my old boatyard...
