It's happening!

I just got off the phone with our broker. Our Pearson 39-2 is going to be delivered tomorrow! Or, as I like to call it, our diesel, electrical, plumbing and fiberglass apprenticeship.

It is being delivered by our broker and "our captain" (insurance thing), so the plan is to hang out, go to lunch, head to West Marine for port supply discount.

Drop us a line if you know anyone in the southwest corner of the country who would be interested in a trailer sailor.

The advanced options don't seem to be working right now, but that's OK because the only picture I got today was the thermometer showing 106F I only spent about two hours taking inventory, cleaning up a bit and taking a few measurements.

I just unpacked the ditch bag. There are flares and a "desalter kit" older than the boat. Heck, the desalter kit is older than us. I almost want to take it to a flea market rather than tossing it!

Congrats, nice boat, there's one in my boatyard that sat for 2 years, the owner wasn't realistic about the price when selling.
I had looked it over and thought it was a great boat, well built too.
Someone finally bought it and with a little shining it looks great.
Pearson was one of the better production builders, many of their older models still command good money compared to their contemporaries, for good reason.
Hope she brings you plenty of miles and much enjoyment.
OK, now get to work! You'll learn a lot of interesting skills over the next few years fixing things you never knew you needed. It's all fun.

Today we did our first project today!

We were somewhat daunted by the fuel lines, but tackled replacement of drain hose quite successfully.

Hopefully, tomorrow we will be stronger than the fuel lines.
