Island Packet 31 or 32 Pacific Cruising

Hi all,

I am looking at purchasing an IP31 or 32 from Caribeen and sailing through Panama and across the pacific.

I understand that these boats have a big following in USA, and I am however quite unfamiliar with their offshore performance. I am aware the larger 35+ IPs have made many successful passages but am yet to read any accounts of the 31/32.

I am not so much after personalised opinions of whether such a boat is capable of such offshore passages, however certainly happy to hear it, but more intersted in personal accounts or known accounts of people undertaking similar passages in these sized IP's if any?
