This yacht is for sale as a 1976 Phoenix Van de Stadt 42 ft, but wanted to check it is a vd Stadt design, as it is not listed on the vd Stadt website. I cannot get a response from vd Stadt. TIA.
Any further comments on this yacht would be of interest.
Here's some pics of other Phenoix 42's so judge for yourself.. these were mainly built by owners from plans so expect variations on a theme..
Dunno if the plans are a Phenoix as the prints to small to read.

Re: Is this a van de Stadt design ?
Can't say for sure, but whatever the original design was, the massive "add-ons" will have significant effects upon performance... and they ain't gonna be improvements. A horror to my eyes, but different strokes and all that!

Those add-ons are great! Highly useful, as long as you don't plan on moving the boat much. That guy might as well sell the sails and rigging so he can fund more stuff on deck.....
