A few of the cons:
- Dark colored
hull in the tropical sun
-
Racing oriented design, so perhaps a bit squirrly, particularly downwind in a breeze
-
Rudder is either not original, or is an odd & perhaps poor design. As it's upper end sports a huge gap between it & the
hull, thus reducing it's efficacy & increasing drag. Plus contributing to the above point.
- Going into & out of the
cabin in any kind of seas will be tricky, due to her lacking a real
companionway. Where rather she has a hole in her
deck with a ladder.
This is also a disadvantage for watchkeeping, as you have to do a lot of climbing to check the horizon. And if it's rough it takes a good bit more upper body strength to enter & exit a
boat via such a portal, partially due to her truly having a ladder in lieu of stairs.
