Well, my boat has grown during build from 33' to 38' without an inch growth in living spaces so I'd say it depends...

A bigger boat stores more stuff. If you need to store more stuff, get the bigger boat.

Thanks for all the input. As always pro's and con's for both, as they are the same make and series I can weigh it all up on paper before out laying the $$$$'s

Like he said.

Seven years ago we began by looking at 38ft Catalinas and Hunters, put several offers in on 40-41 foot Catalinas and Hunters which were turned down or sold to other people, then ended up with a Hunter 450. It's all about keeping the wife happy and being comfortable. Get what fits best for your family and you'll end up using it more often.
