The
keel stepped mast has little to do with its
offshore capabilities. It's really easy to get rid of the
wheel if the boat has one. As far as the rest of the boat's capabilities, they are as good, if not better than other
California boats of that era. Thought about
buying one but couldn't come to an agreement on
price. Boat had been sitting in slip for years and had almost no
equipment,just original working suit of
sails and no
roller furling. IIRC, we backed out when they wouldn't go below $23k. I could see putting an easy $15k in her to go anywhere and there were a ton of ,boats available under $40k.
